On 26/3/2024, Seedrs raised their minimum fee for investors to £/€5 from £/€0.50. That's an unbelievable TEN TIMES (1,000%) increase.
If you're wealthy and already invest vast sums into the platform then this won't affect you, but if you were someone who invested small amounts then this immediately prices you out of the market.
A working example?
Let's use the Truffle Guys example that is currently raising:

The minimum investment is £21. A 2.5% fee for this works out at £0.53 (rounded up). This is a reasonable fee and what you would be expected to pay prior to 26/3/2024. However, the minimum fee ups this to £5, or 24%! I can find no explanation as to why Seedrs found this to be necessary, they just did. I can only assume that this means they are not interested in small investors.
So if you were once topping-up your investment in Seedrs here and there with small amounts, you definitely won't be doing that any more.
